The Singapore Book Publishers Association (SBPA) is celebrating UNESCO World Book and Copyright Day 2020 with a book sale promotion. The promotion, World Book Day Sale, will start from Thursday 23 April to Friday 8 May 2020 and aims to cultivate reading as a lifestyle habit among Singaporeans and to improve general knowledge.
Background on UNESCO World Book and Copyright Day
23 April was chosen by UNESCO as the World Book and Copyright Day as it marked the passing of prominent authors of world literature like William Shakespeare, Miguel Cervantes and Inca Garcilaso de la Vega.
During this period, readers can look forward to receiving up to 50% off for every title bought. With the purchase of $30 worth of SingLit books, readers will get an exclusive #BuySingLit tote bag. This tote bag is redeemed on a while-stocks-last basis and is only redeemable via the SBPA website with an attached copy of the receipt.
